Body Language : Non-Verbal / The Most Effective Communication. This consists of various behavioural gestures such as Facial, Body parts movements of our selves. Some of us won’t know the Body Language is the study of the behavioural science known as kinetics. It does not consist of regular spoken or sign language grammatical structure or formation or rules. But It is the most Effective Communication method which works without our conscious.  It’s more of interpretations of our behaviour on personal, interpersonal, or social interaction. In-fact Body Language can layout more information than any verbal communication about a person. Let’s know what are the features of Body Language and how one can improvise the most Effective Communication method.

Body Language: Types of Expression:

Human (physical) behaviour more directly connects/ reflects in emotions. Researches show that when we analyse emotions of personal; the situation is more easily predictable. For example, when a person is feeling angry would promptly show dominance over others in conversation. Same way, when a person sitting in the chair leaned forward with his head nodding. This implies that one ready relaxed and ready to listen to the discussion.

Hand Movements:

The same way body movements like a handshake; which are used regularly in mostly Formal, Social & Interpersonal greetings, meetings, congratulations offerings or/and agreement on something. A type of handshake indicates a confidence level in the personal and interpersonal relationship between two parties concerning the situation.

Generally, we can put theses handshakes in categories such as Sweaty Palms – Indicates nervousness, Dead Fish – Indicates a reserved or a passive personality; Hand Crusher – Indicates the intimidating nature of the person; The Hand Hug – Indicates warmness towards other person and friendly and trustworthy posture. Friendly – A firm, the friendly handshake has been a long recommendation to make a good first impression.

Facial Expression will be Consists of the eyes, eyebrow, lips, nose, and cheek movements. Studies have shown that facial gestures are an integral part of body gestures due to both are seen almost together. At one point, researchers believed that creating a natural smile is not possible to artificially, because when one is smiling joyfully, one crinkle, which doesn’t occur while you’re faking it. Normally ones’ eye pupils blink ant the usual rate of 6-7 times per minute, but when we are watching something more interesting or attractive, the blinking rate tends to slow down.

Attitude & Voice Tone:

A specific type of voice tone is associated with particular body language. As an example, if someone’s voice is expressing that one is happy than their attitude will convey a similar expression. The most important/ noticeable thing here is the breathing pattern of person changes as his voice tone changes and that influences their body language. E.g. if a person is feeling happier or intense his breathing pattern will be deeper, which automatically changes his voice in stronger. If one is feeling anxious the breathing pattern will be shallow and the voice will be thin and weaker. Studies have shown that breathing pattern changes according to the mood of the person.

In summary with proper Body Language, one can connect with people better. Even when you think about what to say and how to present it, your body is sending non-verbal messages to people in front of you. It will help one to enhance your communication abilities. Tiny gestures of the other person can make you help understand his mind-set. It has become more important in today’s corporate world. It will help you to prevent conflicts and help you to present yourself in a better manner. Moreover helps you in expanding your business.
