Throughout the history of human development, water has remained a core element in personal, interpersonal, social, and economical growth.  Therefore it just not limited to that. There would have been no development in the sector of food, energy, our ecosystem even the survival of any species. As the world population is growing rapidly; it has become difficult to fulfil the need for freshwater. This is creating a major problem ahead of us “World Water Crises” commercial demands and even worse in some parts of the world for the purpose of  survival

Clean water is everyone’s basic right and the existing scenario of Climate Change has played a crucial part in the availability of freshwater through various resources. United Nations has already declared ‘Fresh Water’ under its top 10 world crises.

The UN assembly stated that each person needs 50 to 100 litres water on a daily basis; it has to be fresh, easily accessible as well as affordable. The cost of water should not be more than 3 per cent of total household income and must be within the reach of 1 km or 30 minutes walking distance. Freshwater has a crucial role in grace in our health, education, and society. Every year the UN celebrates 22nd March as World water day.

Though 75% of the earth is covered with water resources; as of today, only 0.02 per cent of freshwater is easily available to us. The remaining amount is either hard water/saline or very difficult to access. Despite many resources available in the freshwater major part of the world are facing problems availing them due to their uneven distribution. This situation has gotten worse since the last decade due to climate change crises and estimated to get raise by 30% if the current scenario continues.

The excessive need for water has implicated adverse effects on the environment. Hence over surged usage of water has harmed water resources with nutrients pollution, salinity in agriculture soils, wetland, ponds, rivers and loss of floodplains, etc.

Even in today’s world, over 2 billion people face problems reaching for freshwater resources. Furthermore still billions of people unable to have basic amenities for sanitation, WHO report stated that around 300 thousand children die due to poor hygiene and diarrheal disease. Millions of people die due to unsafe drinking water. 70 % of wastewater flows back into the ecosystem without being used or recycled. Except for having vast rivers many countries do not have an effective water management system.

This can be a solution to this problem; to fulfil the supply of growing need for freshwater. This is the oldest yet still the most effective method of reserving freshwater via making dams on the river.

The atmospheric water generator is a device; which extracts dew from the humid air and after condensate process, it later converted into freshwater.

 The distillation process includes cleansing salts & minerals from seawater. Israel is an example. The country with minimum water resources has managed to generate freshwater with this technology.
